How We Help Neighbors

Neighborhood Loans West is proud to launch ‘Meet Your Neighbor’, a community forward campaign created to inspire support of the community’s favorite small businesses across an array of industries. From early morning lattes to late night pizza, crispy collar dry cleaners to motorcycle mechanics – you can help Neighborhood tell their story by nominating them in the comments on Neighborhood Loans West’s social media pages. Through the solicitation of nominations, one business will be selected each month to receive social media content production and promotion, as well as a monetary contribution to further impact their business positively.

Meet Your Neighbor

Standard Wax

Tempe, AZ

“It's funny when you talk about milestones, because I feel like you never know you're hitting them when you're hitting them, but looking back, you can see that they happened without ever even noticing it... What makes Standard Wax successful is just being who we are.”

The first Meet Your Neighbor selection is @standardwax in Tempe, Arizona. From being completely women owned and operated to collaborating with other local artists on packaging and concepts - this small business is anything but ‘standard’.

Owner Samantha Thompson’s goal is to “bring art into your everyday.” Light your favorite candle, sit back and listen to Samantha’s story –maybe stop by standardwax.com and find yourself a new favorite candle.
